Belated from yesterday.Out of area. Visited Low Barnes with Peter Garbut & Dan & Roger for coupla hours. Over 30species seen including 20+ Siskin. Possible birds to see include Bittern, Dipper,Kingfisher and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. Well worth the visit. Then up to Rowlands Gill for the spectacle of the Red Kites coming in to roost. We were slightly late and the light wasn't at it's best but we still watched well in excess of 30 of these magnificent creatures. If you can only go once a year DO IT. It's amazing and it's a lot nearer than Wales. We all had a brilliant day.
