Pair of wheatear on beach between Marske and Saltburn this morning, also ringed plover being chased by a pointer dog. Barn owl driven in to Little Dale woods by crows, near Coastguard Cottages, also 3 lapwing chasing off crows and displaying in fields near the cottages.

Ringed plover, dunlin, lots of skylarks and whitethroats, sandwich terns and a couple of wheatear on Cabin Rocks at south Gare yesterday. Also dingy skipper, common blue and small heath butterflies.

Pair of Buzzard using the thermals at Tees Health Trust again tonight, inevitably hounded by Crow's! 2nd sighting of Swallow this week, but still no sign of anything for them to feed on! Whitethroat showing well.

Brief outing between 1700 and 1800:
Two garganey viewed from road, on spit between back Saltholme and the flash pool to the south. Also, a single pink-footed goose on the north shore of Saltholme West.
ZWR: 2 whinchats on fence, about 100 yards along footpath that heads towards North Gare car park.

4 swifts over the Sainsbury's queue at Saltburn this morning and another 2 over Marske tonight. 2 sand martins at Agar's Gap, going in to a nest hole and flying above the cliffs.

Gannets out to sea off Saltburn Pier this morning, flying towards Huntcliff. Also a small group of terns, think they came off the beach, lost them in the waves.
